SANTO DOMINGO. Sirty six sections of Villa Mella and Sabana Perdida will be benefited by the transfer pipeline that the Santo Domingo Water and Sewer Corporation (CAASD) will connect with the Oriental Barrera de Salinidad aqueduct.

After the first phase of two months of the project, the deficit of 20 million gallons of water per day that is affecting North Santo Domingo will be covered, according to the CAASD.

Twenty-five barrios of Sabana Perdida will benefit directly from the project budgeted at more than RD$92 million, beginning in May.

Another 21 communities of Villa Mella will be benefited indirectly, after the transfer is carried out, due to the reorientation of the system of wells that were supplying Sabana Perdida.

In addition, the line will cross the bridge that joins the eastern zone with the northern zone by way of the Jacobo Majluta Avenue.
